About me
I started my career in academia fresh out of graduating from WMU’s Master of Science in Occupational Therapy program in 2011. I worked as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a couple of years prior. Honestly, it was a right place/right time circumstance. I sat on a panel presentation alongside the OT department program chair at the time and we struck up a conversation. When he asked about my long-term goals, I told him I wanted to teach someday. He replied with “How about this fall?”. As they say, the rest is history. I am grateful for my diverse role which includes capstone coordination, classroom instruction, curriculum development, and fieldwork education. My clinical passion lies in helping adults with neurological impairment re-engage in meaningful occupation with an emphasis in neurovisual rehabilitation. The only thing I love more than being an occupational therapist is teaching aspiring students how to become the best possible OT they can be.
