Gwen Claussen is the owner and CEO of Flourishing Lives, a pediatric occupational and speech therapy clinic located in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. Her journey into the world of pediatric therapy began as a mother seeking support for her own son, who was born prematurely and faced a variety of complex developmental needs. That lived experience shaped her deep commitment to family-centered, relationship-based care. Gwen purchased the clinic during the pandemic with a vision to expand access to high-quality, compassionate services that honor each child’s unique strengths and challenges. Under her leadership, Flourishing Lives has grown into a thriving practice known for its child-led approach, strong parent partnerships, and innovative support systems. Gwen is passionate about empowering caregivers, bridging gaps between home and clinic, and equipping families with tools they can carry into everyday life. She also creates educational content and community programs to further support children and families outside of therapy.
